World said Sunday.

I am not surprised, since a common thread runs though this decision and that of Dred Scott v.

Your March 11 article "Ruling clouds gun laws" reports that the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts has ruled the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution applies only to the federal government and not the states.
Does this mean that the other nine amendments of the Bill of Rights also do not apply to the states?
In its decision, the SJC has misinterpreted the intent of the amendment and ignored American history.
